The Miami-Key Largo is a 42 Mile distance race hosted annually by the
Miami Yacht Club. The 1998 Miami-Key Largo race was held on Saturday April 28th. There
were 222 entries, of which 173 finished. 86 of the finishers were multihulls, 60 of which
were classified as beach cats. The wind was moderate, but not enough to challenge the 9
year old record of 1 hour 45 minutes set by Bill Roberts on his
RC-27 in 1989.
